I Am Worth It: Redefining Self-Esteem Beyond External Validation

A short three-minute video presents a seemingly simple but fundamentally challenging goal.

Many people struggle to declare, "I am worth it." As Kate mentioned, We used to think our worth depended on how we looked and how much attention we got, forgetting that we are more than just our appearance. It's easy to let outside influences take over. But is it right that our inner worth genuinely be gauged by external opinions? More importantly, why should our self-esteem hinge on how others perceive us?

"I am worth it. It's about asserting your right to be yourself, to stand in your truth." We should all grant ourselves the liberty to embrace our imperfections. Self-critique is natural, and we all strive for self-improvement in our pursuit of a better life. But, in reality, it's these very imperfections that define our uniqueness.

Perhaps, for example, from other’s perspectives, your personality might appear foolish or clumsy, and these traits might have adverse effects on your life. However, if you find contentment in living life on your own terms, who has the authority to criticize you?

Life is your personal journey, and there is no need to overly concern yourself with others' opinions.

Those who criticize you won't be living your life for you.

I think self-worth is not contingent on your race or body shape. You possess inherent value as an individual. There's no debate about your self-worth.
